Your book in 38,000 retailers worldwide, via IngramSpark.

Wide print and ebook distribution through IngramSpark. Bookstores, libraries, schools, and international Amazons.

KDP gets you onto Amazon and nowhere else. IngramSpark gets you into Ingram's distribution network, which means physical bookstores, library wholesalers, school catalogs, and 200+ retailers across 38 countries. For most authors, both is the right answer.

Global distribution — FAQ

Questions we get every week, answered straight.

Do I need IngramSpark if I have KDP?

Yes, if you want bookstore distribution, library reach, or any meaningful international presence. KDP only sells through Amazon. The 38,000 retailers IngramSpark reaches are not on Amazon.

Will bookstores actually stock my book?

Not automatically. IngramSpark makes you orderable; bookstores still have to decide to order. The right pitch (returns enabled, 55% wholesale, attractive cover, named publisher in metadata) makes you stockable. Sales reps and indie-bookstore outreach are separate work.

How does IngramSpark royalty compare to KDP?

Lower per unit, but the distribution is incremental — you're reaching readers Amazon won't. Typical IngramSpark royalty on a $14.99 paperback at 55% wholesale: $2.10–$3.50. Lower than KDP's $6.00 on the same book, but for sales you wouldn't otherwise get.
